About Us

We would like to thank you for the interest in our company. We strive to develop, provide and operate the highest quality entertainment, activities, educational opportunities and pseudo historical festivals in a fair type atmosphere at our outdoor entertainment venue known as "The Olde World Village". The Olde World village is a privately owned 35 acre parcel of property located at 13215 M 96 in Augusta Michigan.

Through the help of our great group of volunteers and community, these events and other potential future productions, we aspire to run a profitable operation with the intentions of expansion and a strong goal of success for ourselves and our community in a professional manor. All the while creating a place for people to experience a fun, active and colorful event while offering interactive entertainment, historical re-enactments, educational opportunities and options for practical job experience. We have already begun working with youth oriented groups like Camp Compass (Helen Devos Children's Hospital) and charities such as the Heaven's Heroes, Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, The Jaycee's and The Food Bank of South Central Michigan. We offer discounts to our veterans, and their dependents, public safety officers and seniors, and all kids under 12 are always free, which makes it easier for families to afford to attend. With our first year under our belts, we have already heard much positive feedback on the impact that our 2012 events have had on our local economy.

Our events have become a destination for patrons, entertainers, merchants and artisans. With the expansion of our 2013 schedule, their visits to our area will continue throughout the year. Our volunteers come from all over the state, but many are local. The majority of our entertainers and merchants are from out of the area, and live on site during the run of most of our events. They eat at our local restaurants, shop in our grocery stores, buy gas from our local gas stations, enjoy drinks at our local pubs. Our advertising is outreaching, and helps draw patrons to our area. These "out of towners" will visit our communities and help with the growth of our local economy.

We are working through the process of eventually being able to provide scholarships for dramatic arts and history to our volunteers that show outstanding progress and commitment through essays, accomplishments and achievements. Local staff positions are also included, and compensation is made through bonuses based on merit and/or commissions from pop carts, food service, sales of keepsakes, etc. Our staff will mentor and train volunteers and interns, giving them practical experience for the job market and we encourage local businesses to participate. We hope you will join us in a weekend of rest, relaxation & enjoyment at our next event.

Thank you and have a great day!
